Priceline Makeup Director, Rae Morris created a look she named “Matte, matte and more matte” for Runway 6 presented by Frankie. Fashions on the runway were minimalist and focused on structure so keeping a simple matte look helped to enhance the design on the concrete runway in the underground carpark of Melbourne Museum.
To create the look, Rae used makeup from the Nude by Nature.
Step 1: Apply a minimal amount of liquid foundation, Nude by Nature Liquid Mineral Foundation. Conceal only if needed, this look is about less, so minimal concealing. Powder face to remove any shine.
Step 2: Using a contour palette, very softly contour under the cheek bone.
Step 3: Apply a neutral coloured shadow over the eyelids to softly contour them. Rae used Nude by Nature Ultimate Nude Eyeshadow Palette, Cream, Latte & Espresso.
Step 4: Brush brow up and leave natural
Step 5: Finish with a neutral matte lip Nude by Nature Mineral Lipstick in Chique
Tip – If you are someone that has gappy brows, apply minimal amounts of brow powder. Leaving the front area of the brow completely natural rather than filled.
Priceline Hair Director Kenneth Stoddart created a simple look with to match the matte nude look.
To create the look, Kenneth applied a salt spray, Schwarzkopf Styliste Ultimate Sea Salt Beach Look Texture Spray, through damp hair and dry into hair. Using a straightening iron, take a vertical section at front and place the iron diagonally across the section about 1-2 inches away from the root. Close the iron and slide down the hair for about 2 inches. Repeat this technique further down the hair. On the next section, repeat except wind the hair in the opposite direction. Continue throughout the hair and then rake through with your fingers. Make sure you don’t curl the ends of the hair. Use some light hairspray, Schwartzkopf Styliste Ultime Amino-Q Hold Hairspray, or texturizing milk to finish the hair.
