This International Women’s Day, Friday 8th March, be sure to set your alarm clock early and say namaste as Arbory Afloat hosts a very special Yoga on The Yarra. International Women’s Day is becoming an increasingly important date each year, with Balance for Better this year’s official worldwide theme. To celebrate, Arbory Afloat has partnered with Happy Melon Studios to support women in society, past, present and future with a free yoga event, for one and all on Friday 8 March at 7am until 8.30am.
Melbourne’s longest floating restaurant and bar will transform into an open-air studio for a sixty-minute morning yoga session. Whether you’re an avid yogi or just looking for an excuse to rise and shine early, Happy Melon’s senior instructor, Amy Dunstan will lead the practice providing basic tools to master that downward dog.
A sea of Lululemon mats will take over the deck at Arbory Afloat, and following class, the crew on board will serve a light breakfast and fresh juice to kick start your morning. Happy Melon Studios located in Armadale has a mission to help people live with more peace and ease. The mind and body studio blends meditation with yoga, fitness and Pilates, combining mental and physical practice to fulfil a happier and healthier lifestyle.
Whether it’s a stretch or shivasana you’re after, don’t miss the chance to balance for better at this very special event, so gather the women you love as this is one not to be missed.
